De-luxe limited (1000 copies) edition (facsimile after the original manuscript) of Valvasor’s The Great Heraldry Book. 2041 hand-drawn and colored coat of arms from all over Europe, with focus on the coat of arms of the Duchy of Carniola.
The codex contains 388 consecutively numbered leaves. The depictions and blazons are on the right-hand page while the back page of the leaves is always blank. The alphabetical index of all names mentioned in the heraldry book is on leaves 371 to 388. This index was published already in 1898. It comprises 1478 names of states, counties, provinces, noble families, dioceses, abbeys, towns, boroughs and different persons. Vol.2 includes studies, bibliographical references and index.
